LPD: Woman arrested after threatening boys with Taser at No Kings protest in Lincoln

No Kings Protest For Nolan

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Saturday after threatening a group of boys with a Taser during the No Kings protest in Lincoln, police say.

Around 3 p.m., four boys arrived at the protest in downtown Lincoln on their bicycles.  They started talking with one woman taking part in the protest, LPD said.

Another 22-year-old woman joined in the conversation and believed that the boys were being “confrontational,” according to police.

The woman then made “direct and confrontational” comments toward the boys, police said.

She also had a Taser and “sparked” it at them twice in an attempt to get them to leave, according to police.

Witnesses called the police, and the woman tried to leave the area.

LPD said officers found her shortly after.  She was arrested on suspicion of four counts of assault by menacing threat.
