LPD: Woman robbed, pistol-whipped inside bathroom of Lincoln gas station

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was robbed and assaulted inside a gas station bathroom in Lincoln on Sunday, police say.

Around 9:30 p.m., a 24-year-old woman reported that she was assaulted at the McDonald’s and U-Stop at 21st and K streets.

She told officers that an unknown man pistol-whipped her and stole her wallet, according to LPD.

The man left the area before officers arrived.  The victim had also left prior to officers getting to the scene.

A U-Stop employee said they saw the victim bleeding from her left ear.

An investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000.
