LPS Learning Lunch: “What’s in a name?”

There was a special lunch time presentation at the LPS headquarters on Tuesday.

Plenty of stories and history were told by Ed Zimmer, the historic preservation planner for the Lincoln planning department.

His presentation was called “What’s in a name, stories behind our school names.”

“Several of these schools were named for prominent 19th century figures who people probably aren’t real familiar with today. I tried to give a little bit of history and some biography of the sources of the names,” said Zimmer.
