LPS music teacher wins Scottish Rite Educator of the Year award

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A music teacher at Irving Middle School was given the Scottish Rite Educator of the Year award on Friday.

The winner was Mike Robb, who has been at the school for more than 20 years.

“There are so many teachers that are deserving of this award,” Mike Robb said. “And to be one of the ones that have received it is a huge honor.”

LPS said the award is one of the most prestigious in the district.

And with 8,000 staff members in LPS, receiving it is no small feat.

Robb also received $10,000 along with the award.
