LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Public Schools is developing Nebraska’s next generation of educators at The Career Academy.

The academy hosted an education and career workshop Thursday morning to encourage high schoolers to consider becoming teachers.

All students at LPS were invited to attend the event.  Those who attended said it was fulfilling for teachers and students.

“It is quite exciting to see how many students are interested in becoming teachers,” said Barbara Miller, LPS’s empowerment specialist.
