LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities say one person is in custody after a task force was looking for a wanted person in southwest Lincoln.

The Fugitive Task Force and Tactical Response Unit was in the area of SW 1st and W A St. for about two hours Wednesday morning.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said around 10 a.m. the person — identified as Jaheim Barnes — was taken into custody peacefully.

Task force members negotiated with Barnes for more than an hour before taking him into custody, according to officers at the scene.

Two explosive devices were detonated as distractions during the standoff.
