LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two teams punched their tickets Wednesday to the championship series of the College World Series in Omaha.

Coastal Carolina took care of business to start the day, beating Louisville 11-3.

The Chanticleers have now won 26 straight games.

LSU won a comeback thriller to cap the evening, taking down Arkansas 6-5.

The Razorbacks had their chances in the ninth inning, leading 5-3.

But a missed double-play opportunity a dropped fly ball let the Tigers tie.

Then, with first base open, Arkansas elected not to intentionally walk Jared Jones. And Cam Kozeal almost caught the ball off Jones’ winning swing.

If any of those went differently, Arkansas could have beat LSU for the first time in Omaha.

Instead, Arkansas dropped to 0-5 all time against LSU in the CWS.

LSU is searching for its second championship in three years, having won in 2023.

Coastal Carolina looks for its second championship in school history, having won in 2016.

The best of three series will kick off Saturday at 6 pm.
