Malcolm Clippers sail past Chase County Longhorns
MALCOLM, Neb. (KLKN) – Malcolm cruised to victory over Chase County on Friday in the first round of the Class C-2 playoffs after a rough first half for both teams.
It wasn’t until the second quarter that the teams team found the end zone.
The Longhorns had the ball but gave it up when Tristan Jablonski thew a pass that was intercepted by Logan McGreer.
A few plays later, the Clippers’ Dalton Amen took the handoff down the middle for the first score of the game. It was 6-0 Malcolm after a missed extra point.
Later in the second quarter, Malcolm QB Maddox Meyer dropped back to pass and flipped it to Noah Vanevery, who slipped a tackle and back-peddled into the end zone.
The Clippers will host Kearney Catholic next Friday.
