Malfunctioning railroad crossing arms slowed traffic in southeast Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Drivers experienced delays Tuesday due to malfunctioning railroad crossing arms in southeast Lincoln.
The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department said the crossing arms were down at 56th Street and Old Cheney Road.
Officials said the malfunction was resolved around 7 p.m.
In addition, a train with “mechanical issues” blocked crossings at 70th and 84th streets, officials said.
Drivers were asked to take Pine Lake Road as a detour.
Additionally, a train with mechanical issues is blocking crossings at South 70th and South 84th streets. The recommended detour is Pine Lake Road.
