Man accused of arson in Norfolk house fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 30-year-old man has been arrested in an arson in Norfolk.

The fire was reported just after 7:30 a.m. Monday at a home near 12th Street and Phillip Avenue, according to the Norfolk Police Department.

After crews got the fire out, investigators looked into the cause of the fire and determined that it was not accidental.

They examined video footage of the area and identified Austyn Ladd, who is homeless, as the suspect.

Ladd was arrested on suspicion of second-degree arson and placed in the Madison County Jail.
