LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man accused of seriously injuring a woman in Kearney was caught Friday after crashing into a semi, police say.

Around 10:30 a.m., troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol responded to a crash involving a pickup truck and a semi near Alda.

During the investigation, the driver of the pickup was identified as 37-year-old Justin Hadenfeldt.

A warrant for his arrest was issued Wednesday after police say he attacked a woman at a home in Kearney.

Hadenfeldt was taken to a hospital in Grand Island for treatment.

Once released, he will be arrested on suspicion of burglary, first-degree assault, and strangulation or suffocation resulting in serious bodily injury.
