Man accused of DUI in chase with Lancaster County deputy near Waverly

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Sunday after a chase with a Lancaster County deputy near Waverly, the sheriff’s office says.
Around 2 a.m., a deputy spotted a vehicle that was unable to stay in its lane near Highway 6 and 98th Street.
After a brief chase, the deputy pulled the vehicle over near Waverly, Capt. Tommy Trotter said.
The driver, a 41-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, flight to avoid arrest, refusing a preliminary breath test and possession of marijuana.
Trotter said the driver had a blood alcohol content of .228.
