LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Friday after crashing into a ditch in rural northeast Nebraska, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 7:15 a.m., a deputy discovered a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch on Old Highway 8, just a mile east of Stanton.

The driver, a 30-year-old Stanton Man, was uninjured but “highly intoxicated,” according to the sheriff’s office.

He had a blood alcohol content level that was nearly four times the legal limit, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of second offense DWI and open container violation.

He was released after posting a cash bond and will appear in court next month.
