Man accused of first-degree assault in east Lincoln parking lot shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday in a shooting last weekend in an east Lincoln parking lot, police say.
Officers took 21-year-old Alharith Kambol in custody after a traffic stop at 33rd and O streets around 6 p.m.
He was charged on suspicion of several charges, including first-degree assault, attempted first-degree assault and terroristic threats.
The Lincoln Police Department’s SWAT team served a search warrant at Kambol’s home and found several firearms.
Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a 19-year-old man was in a vehicle with friends near 51st and Vine streets when two men armed with handguns approached them.
Police said the victim started driving away, the two men fired their guns at the vehicle.
The 19-year-old was shot in the torso and taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
