Man accused of manslaughter in shooting at north Omaha home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested in a fatal Wednesday night shooting at a north Omaha home, police say.

Around 9 p.m., officers were sent to a home near 30th and Whitemore streets on a report of a shooting.

They found 30-year-old Deving Willis-Smith suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Officers later took 31-year-old Mark Keesler into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
