Man accused of motor vehicle homicide in rollover crash west of Grand Island
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday in a deadly rollover crash in rural Hall County.
Quentin Scroggin, 19, was taken into custody on suspicion of several charges, including motor vehicle homicide and driving under the influence.
The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. on Nov. 16 near Schauppsville Road and Wildwood Drive, just west of Grand Island.
Scroggin was “driving recklessly” when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled, ejecting two passengers, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said.
One of the ejected passengers, 18-year-old Brennan Villatoro of Grand Island, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Scroggin and four other passengers were taken to a hospital in Grand Island.
