LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday after investigators uncovered an illegal THC operation in Omaha, police say.

The Omaha Police Department’s narcotics and field investigations unit served a search warrant at a warehouse near 50th and F streets.

The investigators were assisted by the agency’s SWAT team, K9 unit, the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office.

Officers found 31-year-old Abdulmalek Nagi and took him into custody.

Inside the warehouse, investigators discovered a “large-scale” illegal THC sales operation, according to police.

Officials said evidence “indicated” the facility was supplying local smoke shops with illegal THC products.

Detectives found “thousands” of illegal Delta-9 THC vape pens and cartridges, THC waxes, THC-infused candies, psychedelic mushrooms and a “significant” amount of cash.

Nagi was arrested on suspicion of possession of a scheduled drug with intent to distribute.
