Man accused of sexual assault mistakenly released from western Nebraska jail

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was “inadvertently released” from a western Nebraska jail on Wednesday, authorities said.
The Alliance Police Department said on Facebook that Harley Salway was let out of Box Butte County Jail without posting bond.
He was in jail awaiting trial on charges of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree false imprisonment.
Authorities are asking the public for help finding Salway, saying they believe he may be in the Alliance or Scottsbluff areas.
Salway is a white, 6-foot-1 male, with gray hair and hazel eyes.
