Man accused of shooting at occupied vehicle in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested Thursday in a shooting on a Lincoln roadway.

Michael Nunn, 49, of Lincoln is charged with three felonies: discharging a firearm near a vehicle, use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Court documents describe a scary scene unfolding on June 26 on Rosa Parks Way near U.S. Highway 77.

About 11:30 p.m., a man who knew Nunn pulled up beside his vehicle, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Nunn got upset, police say, and grabbed a gun.

The victim drove off, but Nunn fired several shots at his vehicle, an arrest affidavit says.

Investigators found multiple bullet holes in his car and five spent 9mm casings on the road, police said.

A Lancaster County judge set Nunn’s bond at $250,000. He must pay 10% of that — $25,000 — to get out of jail.

Nunn’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 4.
