Man armed with bat smashed windows at two Lincoln businesses, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man wielding a baseball bat shattered windows at two Lincoln businesses late Monday night, police say.

Around 10:20 p.m., officers were called to Constellation Studio near 21st and O streets on a report of vandalism.

The owner of the business said she heard a loud bang and noticed that one of the windows was broken.

Security video captured a 21-year-old man using a baseball bat to smash the window, police said.

Around the same time, officers found that the O Street Barbershop also had a broken window.

The man was found near Antelope Valley Parkway and O Street and taken into custody.

He was arrested on suspicion of two counts of criminal mischief.

Police estimate that the man caused about $1,600 in damage to the businesses.
