Man armed with knife arrested after tussle near downtown Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Monday after a knife fight near downtown Lincoln, police say.

Around 3:40 p.m., officers were sent to First and P streets on a report of two men fighting.

Officers arrived and found 65-year-old Antonio Wooden and a 43-year-old victim.

Witnesses said the two were arguing when Wooden pulled out a knife and tackled the victim.

Police said Wooden had also threatened the victim.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree assault, terroristic threats and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
