Man caught with knives after attempted stabbing in western Nebraska, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested early Thursday morning in an attempted stabbing in western Nebraska, police say.

At about 3 a.m., the Alliance Police Department received a report of a man armed with knives trying to break into a home.

An officer arrived at the scene and found George Coulton King at the door of the home, according to police.

King — who was holding a knife — surrendered, and the officer placed him into handcuffs.

During a search, the officer found a second knife, police said.

An investigation revealed that King pushed his way inside the home and tried to stab a man.

King was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including terroristic threats and attempted second-degree assault.
