Man arrested after burglary at Grand Island vape store, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was captured Thursday after breaking into a vape store in Grand Island, police say.

Around 8:15 a.m., officers were sent to Beyond Vapes near Second and Walnut streets on a report of a break-in.

Officers found footprints in the snow that went in and out of the store, according to police.

They were the only tracks in the parking lot.

A man – later identified as Richard Holmes – was spotted on security video breaking into the store.

Officers later found Holmes with a stolen item, according to police.  He was wearing the same clothing seen in the video.

Holmes was arrested on suspicion of burglary.  Police did not say what was stolen from the store.
