Man arrested after hurling rock through Lincoln company’s window, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pipe-wielding man was caught Saturday hitting walls and trash cans in a downtown parking garage, Lincoln Police say.
On April 15, officers were sent to Farmers Mutual near 12th Street and Lincoln Mall on a report of vandalism.
Security video showed a man throwing rocks into the company’s window, which caused about $1,500 in damage, police say.
Officers later identified the suspect, a 33-year-old man.
On Saturday around 8:15 a.m., the man was seen entering a parking garage near 13th and P Streets with a metal pipe.
He then used the pipe to hit walls, trash cans and a University of Nebraska-Lincoln call box, causing about $300 in damage, police say.
Eventually, UNL officers took the man, who police say was under the influence of an unknown drug, into custody.
Police also found that the man had damaged a window at Hewit Place near 12th and Q Streets.
Officers arrested the man on suspicion of three counts of criminal mischief.
