Man arrested after threatening to kill his girlfriend, Lincoln Police say
When officers tried to arrest Thomas Carodine, he tried to bite one of them.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested after he threatened to kill his 48-year-old girlfriend at a gas station on Wednesday, Lincoln Police say.
After threatening his girlfriend at the Super C at 501 W. A Street, 26-year-old Thomas Carodine left the area in his Nissan Sentra.
An officer saw the Nissan and attempted to pull him over near 8th and A Streets, according to Lincoln Police. Carodine then fled the area and the officer did not pursue him.
Shortly after, Carodine crashed into a parked vehicle near 8th and C Streets. Officers arrived at the crash and attempted to detain Carodine, who got violent and tried to bite them, Lincoln Police say.
Eventually, the officers were able to take Carodine into custody. Carodine appeared intoxicated and they conducted a DUI investigation.
Officers looked inside the vehicle and saw an open bottle of liquor, according to Lincoln Police.
Lincoln Police arrested Carodine on suspicion of 3rd-degree domestic assault, attempted assault on a police officer, operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, DUI (1st offense), refusal of a chemical test, leaving the scene of an accident, no operator’s license and possessing an open alcohol container.
