Man arrested after trying to sell stolen saxophone on Facebook, police say

A man was accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from a Lincoln home was arrested. 

On December 23, Lincoln Police were called to a home near 34th and S Street on reports of a burglary. 

Police said the victims, who had computers and a saxophone stolen, said they may have accidentally left their back door unlocked.

The items were valued at around $2,800, according to police. 

The victims later saw the saxophone listed for sale on Facebook, and officers arranged to meet the seller. 

LPD said Andre Adams, 21, was the seller. 

A search of his apartment turned up over $2,600 worth of stolen items, including the computers that had been stolen with the saxophone, police said. 

Adams was arrested for theft. 

The saxophone was recovered.
