Man arrested following assault on two officers at south Lincoln apartment complex, LPD says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two Lincoln Police officers were assaulted while responding to a call in south Lincoln on Thursday.
Around 12:30 a.m., officers were sent to an apartment complex near 14th Street and Old Cheney Road for a domestic incident.
The man inside the apartment — 45-year-old Josh Miller — had a warrant out for his arrest for a previous assault.
According to LPD, he did not comply with the officer’s commands and was told he was under arrest.
While trying to enter the apartment, an officer was pinned in the doorway as police say Miller pushed the door shut against his body, causing pain and discomfort in his left upper torso.
Another officer used his Taser and Miller was eventually taken into custody and handcuffed.
A third officer had a bleeding scrape on his arm and pain from the scuffle.
Miller was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of child abuse, two counts of third-degree assault on an officer and resisting arrest.
