More details are available below.
A man who Lincoln Police say was arrested for abusing the mother of his children was in court Tuesday afternoon.
Rashaun Jones was arrested on a third-degree domestic assault charge and is accused of beating Davonnis Wilkinson, the Lincoln mother of five who was found shot in her home near 3rd and Fairfield late Sunday night.
Police say Jones was the only other adult in the home at the time of the shooting.
He was not arrested for the shooting of Wilkinson.
A judge set Jones’ bond at 10 percent of $25,000 and appointed him a public defender Tuesday afternoon.
Jones was also ordered by the judge to have no contact with Wilkinson and to avoid the home where the shooting happened.
At last check, Lincoln Police said Wilkinson was in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
