Man arrested for sexual assault and stolen vehicles

A missing 13-year-old female was found in the stolen vehicle.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police arrested 19-year-old Dearies Bogan for 1st degree sexual assault and felony theft by receiving on September 2nd.

Officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s at 27th and W Street on a report that a stolen vehicle was in the parking lot.

Bogan had stolen the vehicle on September 1st from the area of 27th and M Street

The vehicle was stolen when a Domino’s delivery driver left the car running as they were making a delivery.

Officers found a 13-year-old female inside the vehicle who had been reported as a missing person, and officers had found evidence that she had been sexually assaulted by Bogan.

While in custody, officers were able to develop a probable cause to arrest Bogan for other auto thefts in the area.
