Man arrested for stealing food from fridge

A Lincoln man is in custody after breaking into a home and attempting to steal food from the fridge.

Around 7:30 Tuesday evening, 61 year old Billy Joe Williams began pounding on the door of a home near S. 9 Street & Harrison Ave.

He then threw a brick through the front window and broke into the home.

Once inside, he began to fill a pillowcase with food from the fridge.

Lincoln Police arrested Williams for attempted burglary, and he is currently being held at the Lancaster County Jail.
