Man arrested in burglary at Omaha golf course

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday after a burglary at an Omaha golf course, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says.
The theft was reported Monday around 1:30 a.m. at the Stone Creek Golf Course Clubhouse near North 156th and Fort streets.
Deputies searched the building, but no one was there.
While reviewing security video, deputies saw a man — later identified as 26-year-old Angelo Donovan — smashing a glass door with a rock, the sheriff’s office said.
Donovan grabbed golf clubs and left in a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
During an investigation, deputies identified Donovan as a suspect and believed him to be involved in numerous other golf shop burglaries in Omaha.
On Thursday around 11 a.m., deputies served a search warrant at a home near 10th Street and Capitol Avenue and found items stolen in the burglary.
Items suspected of being stolen in other burglaries were also recovered, the sheriff’s office said.
Donovan was arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary. The sheriff’s office said he could face additional charges.
