Man arrested in deadly November crash in east Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday in a crash that killed a 75-year-old man in east Lincoln last month, police say.
Ahmad Alkadah was booked in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicioin of motor vehicle homicide and second degree assault.
Police said Alkadah was driving in a “reckless manner,” going 32 mph over the speed limit when he crashed into a Nissan Kicks near 70th and L streets on Nov. 5.
The driver of the Nissan, 75-year-old Donald Wilson, and the passenger, a 74-year-old woman, were taken to a hospital. Wilson later died from his injuries.
Alkadah was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
LPD spokeswoman Erika Thomas said Alkadah was driving with “an indifferent disregard for the safety of others.”
He was taken into custody on Thursday at his home following the completion of the investigation.
