Man arrested in deadly shooting at Beatrice home
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Sunday after a fatal shooting at a home in Beatrice, police say.
Police said 42-year-old Tammy Leslie was shot and killed at the home near 22nd Street and Hillcrest Avenue.
It’s unknown what led up to the shooting.
After the shooting, a 19-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy were held captive at the home by Christopher Milke, according to police.
Eventually, Milke was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of first-degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and two counts of kidnapping.
Investigators are asking for anyone with information on a possible motive to contact the Beatrice Police Department.
