Man arrested in Lincoln fentanyl overdose

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a fentanyl overdose.

Martine Williams, 43, is charged with delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug.

Court documents say the overdose happened early in the morning of April 6.

First responders were called to an apartment near 50th Street and Pioneers Boulevard and found a 27-year-old man whose face was turning purple.

They gave him Narcan and took him to a hospital, where he recovered.

Police said the victim bought 13 pills, which he thought were Percocet, from someone nicknamed “Bald Head” or “Bal Head.”

But the pills were actually fentanyl, according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators said they used social media and cellphone data to identify Williams as the dealer.

On Wednesday, a judge set Williams’ bond at $250,000. He must pay 10% of that — $25,000 — to be released.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 14.
