Man arrested in shooting outside of north Lincoln apartment, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting outside of an apartment last weekend, Lincoln Police say.
Around 3 a.m. Sunday, officers were sent to the apartment complex near 14th and Adams Streets on a report of shots fired.
During a search of the area, officers found multiple shell casings in the parking lot, according to police.
Around the same time, three people arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
After an investigation, police found that one of the victims, 35-year-old Tramel Patterson, had fired a gun at the apartment.
On Wednesday, he was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, discharging a firearm at an occupied vehicle or dwelling, being a felon in possession of a firearm and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
