Man arrested in stabbing at central Lincoln gas station

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Tuesday in a stabbing last month at a central Lincoln gas station.

Brandon Woodside, 32, was charged with second-degree assault, according to court records.

A Lancaster County judge set Woodside’s bond at $25,000.  He must pay $2,500 to be released from jail.

The stabbing happened after an argument over a “mutual relationship” on July 13 around 1:30 p.m. at U-Stop near 27th Street and Capitol Parkway.

Woodside had pulled out a knife and chased the victim around the U-Stop, according to an arrest affidavit.

Eventually, Woodside stabbed the victim in the back, the affidavit alleges.  The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

By the time officers arrived, Woodside had left the area.

An arrest warrant was issued for Woodside, and he was taken into custody on Tuesday, according to jail booking records.
