Man attacked by assailant armed with brick at Lincoln home, affidavit says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln man was arrested Sunday after attacking another man with a brick, court documents allege.
Around 7:50 a.m., a man was sitting in his driveway near Ninth and D streets when he noticed 20-year-old Josue Garcia walking nearby.
Garcia was “acting strange,” so the man grabbed pepper spray from his vehicle before walking to his house, an arrest affidavit says.
While the man was on his porch, Garcia ran up and hit him in the neck with a piece of brick, according to the affidavit.
The victim, who was carrying groceries, pushed Garcia off of the porch and held him down.
Once he calmed down, the two shook hands, and Garcia started walking away, the affidavit says.
But once the victim returned to his vehicle, Garcia punched him in the face, the affidavit alleges.
The victim sprayed Garcia and held him down until officers arrived.
Three officers struggled to handcuff Garcia, who was suspected of being under the influence of drugs, according to the affidavit.
He was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including second-degree assault.
