Man attacked with metal pipe in north Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are seeking help in identifying the assailant who attacked a man with a metal pipe in north Lincoln last month.
Around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, the victim was sitting outside Matt Talbot Kitchen when he saw a man “being belligerent” with other people.
The victim confronted the man, who then started hitting him with a metal pipe, according to police.
LPD says the victim was hit several times and was taken to a hospital with a broken hand.
The victim reported that the assailant might be riding a black mountain bike with a green string on the seat.
Police are also searching for a woman who caused a disturbance on Oct. 16 at U-Stop near 13th and South streets.
The woman filled two cups with slushies but told the cashier they were sodas.
The cashier confronted the woman and told her she would be charged for the slushies, according to police.
This led to the woman spewing “some curse words” before spilling the drinks on the cashier, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
