Man called in bomb threat to Grand Island casino to ‘waste’ officers’ time, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Wednesday morning after calling in a pair of bomb threats in Grand Island, police say.
At around 1:50 a.m., officers responded to the area of Second and Eddy streets on a report of a bomb on the side of the road.
A bomb was not discovered, according to police.
Officers received another report of a bomb, this time at Fonner Park Casino, around 4:10 a.m.
Once again, officers did not find a bomb.
The person who reported the bombs, Ahmed Mohammed, was found near Stolley Park Road and Locust Street.
Police said Mohammed called in both bomb threats to “waste” officers’ time.
He was arrested on suspicion of placing a false bomb.
