LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday after railroad tracks in Lincoln halted his ride in a stolen vehicle, court documents say.

Around 6:20 p.m., a woman saw a Lexus RX stuck on the railroad tracks near 10th and Y streets.

The driver — 42-year-old Lamont Stuart — tried to get unstuck, but to no avail, an arrest affidavit says.

The woman saw Stuart get out and run away, according to the affidavit.  She called police and took photos as Stuart ran away.

Officers found Stuart — who matched the witness’s description — near Antelope Valley Parkway and Transformation Drive.

Investigators learned Stuart stole the Lexus a day prior near 70th Street and Old Cheney Road.

Stuart also had a 7 Brew gift card that had the vehicle owner’s name on it, the affidavit alleges.

He was arrested on suspicion of felony theft.

A Lancaster County judge set Stuart’s bond at $15,000.  He must pay $1,500 to be released from jail.
