Man caught crossing centerline in fifth DUI arrest, Grand Island Police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Sunday after officers caught him driving under the influence for the fifth time, Grand Island Police say.
Officers were near Highway 34 and Locust Street when a Ford Mustang revved its engine and sped off.
Later on, officers saw the same Ford with “defective vehicle lighting” near Second Street and Broadwell Avenue, police said.
Shortly after, the vehicle was seen crossing the centerline, and an officer pulled it over.
Officers spoke with the driver, Vicente Lind, who had “blood shot watery eyes” and slurred speech, police said in a press release.
An open alcohol container was also seen on the floor.
Lind was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including fifth-offense DUI with a .15 blood alcohol content or higher.
