Man caught with fentanyl pills, mushrooms at north Lincoln home, affidavit says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man is facing several felony charges after numerous drugs were found Tuesday in his Lincoln home, court documents say.
Around 8:30 p.m., investigators served a search warrant at 23-year-old Blaine Hofmeister’s home near 27th Street and Fletcher Avenue.
The search was a part of an investigation into a fentanyl overdose, according to an arrest affidavit.
During a search of the home, police found a satchel containing 284 fentanyl pills and $10,447 in suspected drug sale proceeds, the affidavit alleges.
Around 3.6 pounds of marijuana, 1.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms and a “large amount” of THC vape products were also discovered, the affidavit says.
The drugs were “easily accessible” to Hofmeister’s son, according to the affidavit.
Hofmeister was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver and felony child abuse.
A Lancaster County judge set Hofmeister’s bond at $850,000 on Wednesday. He must pay $85,000 to be released from jail.
