Man caught with gun, marijuana in north Lincoln traffic stop, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man concealing a gun was arrested Saturday after telling an officer he wasn’t armed, police say.
Around 7:25 p.m., an officer pulled over a vehicle that went through a red light near 33rd Street and Cornhusker Highway.
Police said the officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The driver — a 22-year-old Lincoln man — denied having any weapons or drugs, according to police.
During a search, an officer found a concealed 9 mm handgun and 7.3 grams of marijuana, police said.
The man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon with no disclosure.
He was also cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
