Man charged as accessory in downtown Lincoln shooting will stand trial

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A judge found probable cause on Friday to try an Omaha teenager in a shooting near Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Lancaster County Judge Laurie Yardley sent the case against 19-year-old Kashaun Lockett to district court.

Lockett is charged with accessory to a felony.

On Sept. 5, shots rang out near Canopy and Q streets as fans left a concert at PBA.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the arm, and bullets also hit a hotel window and a car with three people inside.

Police said the gunman was 18-year-old Delshon Levering of Omaha.

He is awaiting trial on a charge of first-degree assault and is due back in court on May 8.

Bria Carter, a 31-year-old Bennington woman, is accused of driving the getaway car.

She is charged with accessory to a felony. Her next court appearance is also scheduled for May 8.

Most of the court documents are sealed, so it’s not clear how police think Lockett was involved.

He is set to be arraigned in Lancaster County District Court on April 16.
