Man cut with pocketknife in dispute over backpack in Grand Island, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was injured Saturday during a quarrel over a backpack in Grand Island, police say.
Around 4:30 p.m., Abshir Mohamed Hassan and another person were fighting over the ownership of the backpack and its contents.
Police said Hassan used a pocketknife to cut the victim’s finger, causing an injury that required stitches.
Hassan was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
