Man demanded money over phone in west Omaha bank robbery, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating a peculiar robbery at a West Gate Bank in Omaha on Monday.
Around 3:20 p.m., a woman entered the bank near 180th and Pacific Streets and handed a phone to a teller.
A man on the phone, who claimed he had a gun and a bomb, demanded that the teller give the woman money, according to police.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the woman drove off in a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Police said that the vehicle and the woman have been found, and an investigation is ongoing.
