LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One person was killed in a blaze at a northeast Lincoln home late Friday night.
The fire was reported shortly before midnight near 57th and Fremont streets.
A Channel 8 reporter at the scene saw smoke in the house, and there was a burning smell in the air.
The front window appeared to have been broken, and foam was running down the siding.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue said it was a small fire.
On Saturday night, the Lincoln Police Department said a 66-year-old man died in the fire.
The investigation is ongoing, and police said more information would be provided Monday morning.
