Man fatally hit by train in central Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man died Sunday when he was hit by a train in central Nebraska.

About 10 a.m., Hall County deputies responded to Ninth and Railroad streets in Wood River and found a man dead.

Authorities said a vehicle with out-of-state plates was nearby, and they think it belongs to the victim.

In a press release Monday, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the man has not been identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
