LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday evening after firing a gun during an argument at an east Lincoln home, police say.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers were sent to a home near 55th and Sumner streets.

Jose Santillian Jr. was involved in an argument at the home when he fired a handgun into a nearby TV, according to LPD.

Police said Santillian, who was still armed with the handgun, left the area in a truck.

Eventually, officers found him nearby with the help of a Nebraska State Patrol helicopter, and he was taken into custody.

A gun was found in Santillian’s vehicle.  No one was injured during the incident, police said.

Santillian was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, use of a weapon to commit a felony and felony child abuse.
