On Oct. 8, a woman came into the U-Save Pharmacy in Waverly and reported that Engel had threatened to kill her.

Lancaster County deputies found his pickup truck a few blocks away near Frontier Cooperative, but they said he sped off when they tried to pull him over.

Engel led deputies on a wild five-minute chase through Waverly, driving over curbs and through fields, according to court documents.
